Privacy policy
Last updated 23 October 2026
The short version
- We store your watchlists and profile names so the app works across launches and devices.
- No ads, no tracking SDKs, and we never sell your data.
- Your searches reach TMDB through our server, without your identity.
- Delete your account in the app and your lists are deleted with it.
Who we are
Interval is an app made by Suhi (suhi.app). This policy covers the Interval apps for iPhone, Android, Apple TV and Google TV, and the website at interval.suhi.app. Questions go to suhi.apps@gmail.com.
Your account
When you first open Interval, the app creates an anonymous account for your device. It does not ask for your name, email or phone number. The app generates a random token and keeps it on your device. Our server stores only a one-way hash of that token, which is enough to recognise your device but cannot be turned back into the token.
In a later version you will be able to sign in with Google or with Apple, so your lists follow you to a new phone. This is optional. If you choose it, we receive your name, email address and basic profile information (such as a profile picture link) from Google or Apple. We do not request access to your contacts, files, calendar or anything else. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email address.
What we store
- Watchlists: the lists you create, the films in them (as TMDB film IDs), and list settings such as their name and order.
- Household profiles: the profile names you enter (for example "Mum" or "Kids") and whether a profile is a Kids profile.
- Country: the country you choose (or that your device reports) so we can show the streaming services and age ratings that apply where you live. We do not collect your precise location.
- Account data: the hashed device token and, if you sign in later, the name, email and basic profile details described above.
- Basic server logs: like any web service, our hosting provider records technical request data (such as IP address and time) to keep the service running and to stop abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
This data is stored on Cloudflare's servers, which host Interval's backend. Cloudflare runs a global network, so your data may be processed outside your country.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, we process this data because it is needed to provide the service you asked for, and to keep the service secure (our legitimate interest in preventing abuse).
Social features
Friends, "I'm watching" status and shared lists are coming in a later version. Lists are private unless you choose otherwise. When those features arrive, you decide for each list whether it is private, visible to friends, or public. A public list, with your profile name, can be seen by anyone, including on a public web page for that list. We will update this policy before these features launch.
Movie data and searches
Film details, posters and streaming availability come from TMDB (The Movie Database), with availability data provided by JustWatch through TMDB. The app does not contact TMDB directly. Our server sends your search terms and film lookups to TMDB, so TMDB sees our server's request, not who you are.
When you open a film on a streaming platform (for example Netflix or Disney+), that platform's own app or website opens and its own privacy policy applies.
What we do not do
- We do not show ads.
- We do not include advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not read your precise location, contacts or photos.
Children
A household can add a Kids profile, which only shows films rated for children in your country's rating system (for example U and UA in India, G and PG in the US). Kids profiles are created and managed by the adult who owns the account. Adult content is blocked in the app for every profile.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from the app's settings. This deletes your account, your profiles and all your watchlists from our servers. Uninstalling the app removes the token from your device, but the data stays on our server until you delete your account, so delete it in the app first. If you cannot reach the app, write to suhi.apps@gmail.com and we will delete it for you.
Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted automatically.
Security
All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS). Device tokens are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect small so there is little to lose.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Access the data we hold about you,
- Export it in a machine-readable format,
- Correct it, or
- Delete it.
These rights are protected by laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Email suhi.apps@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, such as new kinds of data, we will also tell you in the app.
